Likes this wine:

Saturday, October 18, 2014 - Dark garnet, bright and clear. Even with 3 hours of aeration in decanter, this one kept it all quite close to the vest. Earthy, with dirt-covered mushrooms floating above a sweet, chiseled core of cherry fruit. Tea, complex spices. I was expecting more, richer fruit, but it wasn't there, not at present, anyway. Right now it's more a statue to be admired from a distance than actually enjoyed, but in 15 or 20 years, look out. Stuffing to spare, though there's no fluff, this is the real deal. HOLD. 13,5% abv., thru 2038. highly recommended

Served non-blind; give this a decade, or better, two, of rest

5/26/2015 4:12:00 PM - Good point; and certainly some truth to that.

In the instant case, I will be 73 in 2038, there will likely be little left to my palate at that point, so the reference point is for me more than anyone, I suppose ;-)

If I make it to 73, and assuming there is still a CT/interwebs, etc., I'll be sure to drink it if I got it!
