Friday, November 3, 2017 - I agree that this is more approachable than the 2004, but this is still incredibly closed and tight. More open herbal expression and softer fruit than the 04, but also more of a tease in that everything is there but just holding back. Soft fragrant tobacco tinged raspberry fruit with fine tannins and that puckering finish that goes on. I'd still wait another 5 years whereas I'm waiting another 10 for the 04.
