Thursday, November 30, 2017 - I must say that while I like their style and many of their wines, the LdeH ratings do not,in my view, adequately characterize the wide variability that I do not see in LRA or Muga. At a fine restaurant, this wine never developed past the flat ,two dimensional profile with which it opened. Black/ red, with not as much of a Tempranillo nose as one would expect from a Reserva as opposed to Gran Reserva after 12years. No leather, dark cherry or moist clay. On the palate, nicely smooth but never truly opened in 2 hours. It is possible—but very doubtful— that this will open in the future.
