Tuesday, October 29, 2019 - At 14 years this is still rather a vin de garde, and tasted blind, hard to believe this is Beaujolais.
Slightly muddy ruby with just the slightest glint of garnet at the rim.
Rather austere opening
Dry muted cherry candy flavors, with a moderate amount of tannin.
Still a bit tough, but rounds out with some air and aging rather gracefully.
