Saturday, December 9, 2017 - Substantially fresher and less extracted than expected. Still big wine with massive tannins that grip hard on the finish. Fresh strawberries, syrupy raspberry, sage, mint, vanilla, and some heft oak that’s yet to integrate. Needs a 5 hour decant to soften. This needs 5 more years but drinks well with a long decant.
