Wednesday, April 3, 2019 - "It’s a Zin!" - Flight 7, wine 2 (blind): The wine was dark ruby in colour and offered forest berries, coffee, spices, some balsamic notes and some volatile acidity on the nose. On the palate, the wine showed sweet dark berries, dark plum, chocolate, coffee and spices, with ripe, smooth tannin, warming alcohol and good length. It had great concentration and improved with aeration, and I might be underrating it. Needs some time. 89 for now.
