Sunday, October 14, 2018 - Fruit day - fair bit of sediment - decanted off it... orange coloured rim with garnet core. Notes of lilac, orange blossom, raw beef, cedar, smoke and tar on the nose - layered, complex and impressive! Medium bodied with dark plum and black currant on the palate with still some ripe fine tannins showing. This is a gorgeous wine for a Bordeaux lover. The finish is long with the black currant and now some spice (nutmeg?) showing. Not tired in the remotest sense - if anything, in its prime!
