Thursday, August 17, 2023 - First time having the Musigny blanc from Vogue labeled as Musigny. With all Vogue it’s necessary to come in with low expectations 🤣. Fortunately the bottle exceeded it. Decanted at 3pm and we consumed until late in the night. Wine felt initially muted and closed but with time opened up. Surprisingly elegant and soft floral notes on the nose laden with a hint of smoke and citrus peel and intertwined on a base of aromatic fresh stone fruit. Palate shows the same level of elegance , soft acidity and chalky sweet fruit which should open up more with time as many 2015s are really coming out of their shells.
