Friday, September 29, 2006 - Bright lemon and mineral elements onthe nose. On the palate, terrific freshness and energy. Focused, chiseled citrus fruit and nice ripeness balanced out by perfect acidity. Really impressive. Tasted side by side with the 2005 Sancerre "Les Monts Damnes" from Thomas-Labaille, Pelle's Menetou Morogues was the clear winner. The Morogues bottling seems to have more going on than the also enjoyable regular Menetou-Salon bottling from Pelle in 2005.
