Tuesday, January 26, 2021 - This wine really took us by surprise. It's an unassuming twist-off start, a pale pour. On the nose, things start to get a lot more interesting: stone, peaches, mild pineapple, and minerals lead the way, with a note of matchstick flint. On the palate, this is a rich vibrancy here with big helpings of fruit, stone, and minerals. Each component is distinct, but melded together with great balance. At 13.7% ABV, there's nothing thin about this wine. It's a significant white wine, with many elements of expensive big-label Chardonnay, but in a unique Grenache blanc. My wife loved this too. Plenty of time here.
