Sunday, December 25, 2011 - After the Saxum last night, it was interesting to sample a Shiraz from down under as a compare and contrast. While there was definitely a blueberry profile, the fruit was not as pronounced or as rich as the Saxum. Nonetheless, this was a very fine wine, with a classic Aussie Shiraz profile, and it is a mere babe in the woods. This wine has years left in it. Softer than the Saxum, but wonderfully good in its own right.
