2016 Château Calon-Ségur

Community Tasting Note

wrote:

Thursday, August 15, 2019 - From 375. Have seen a number of notes indicating this was drinking well and open for business so decided to try. Dark fruit and spice. This is approachable and delicious now, but there are significant tannins here and, for my tastes, this needs some time. While it was fun to take an early look at this, I will hold my remaining bottles for several years. Very good.

    10/8/2019 10:29:00 PM - Greetings,
I read the first and second reviews on Robert P. The first review had a starting drinking window of 2026 while the newest review had a drinking window starting 2021. Since I am 70 I cannot wait forever to slowly start cracking them open. Any idea when to start opening them-probably one every two years from starting date. Dave
