Saturday, March 3, 2018 - The nose was earthy and dark, showing crushed raspberry followed by stone dust, savory minerals and grilled herbs. On the palate, I found medium-weight textures with dark mineral undertones followed by notes of blackberry, cherry spice, hints of leather and sneaky tannin that seemed to increase with each sip. The finish was long and grippy, with lingering tart red fruits and pretty inner floral tones. This will require years to soften, but once it does, I can only imagine how gorgeous it may be.
