Monday, April 24, 2017 - Visit to Chandon de Briailles-2015 Wines (Savigny-lès-Beaune, France): Finer, less ripe, pear fruit compared to the Île de Vergelesses. Piercing, floral nose. Lots of soil, better acidity. Long, dry finish. Reminiscent of the Corton Bressandes in that it starts out rich and finishes lean and dry. Excellent! Makes me wish I could have tasted the Corton Charlemagne.
