2015 Jean-Philippe Fichet Meursault

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Monday, December 30, 2019 - The Fichet Meursaults are rapidly becoming one of my favorite white Burgundies. This bottle had a beautifully expressive nose of lemon peel, floral notes, hints of peach/pear, hazelnut, and a whiff of rock quarry. The palate is very fresh and vibrant (almost surprisingly so for the vintage!) but has very good concentration and depth. This is simply an excellent village level wine at a very reasonable price for the quality. I will continue to buy and will plan to try to explore some of the single vineyard options.
