Saturday, February 17, 2024 - Had this at a dinner. Decanted a few hours in advance. From the family that owns stagecoach vineyard and apparently this is their best block.

Initially presents as a big wine (15.2% ABV) but needed another two hours for the fat to shed. Once it did, a beautiful mountain wine emerged. Purple fruits and flowers, chaparral, mineral laced tannins. Big but balanced. Oak provided some body but was not noticeable.

Put this away another 10-15 years. Maybe entry level Napa doesn’t age well, but this is not entry level in any sort.
