Friday, December 8, 2023 - Colour is still pretty young looking, not much brick on the rim, lovely red cherry robe. More red and black cherries on the nose, still pretty primary with limited secondary notes, maybe a tinge of mushroom and some oak. Palate is medium bodied, still with some sweetness, more red cherry but also some raspberry/strawberry. Juicy, but with soft tannins. Just a bit of acidity to keep things in balance. Excellent and tasty. Not sure this had enough backbone to go a few more years - so glad I opened now. Interested to see if this gives some more with air. For now, solid 91.
