Ordered a bottle sitting at the bar at the Palace Cafe in New Orleans to go with the chef's special Christmas menu...clear and firm garnet color and with a wandering nose of tart cherry, red berry fruit and what seemed like a light smokey nuance in the background. Full mouth feel of vibrant fruit...good mid palate and an easy finish with a nice acidic balance that paired well with the food.
