Friday, August 22, 2008 - This bottle showed very well. Nice dark color, fruit and spice on the nose. Cherry and berry with balanced acidity on the palate. Sour cherry and spice on the finish. Good to see a CA Pinot with 13.9% "octane." There is another glass to enjoy the next evening.

Rescrew capped overnight in fridge until about 2 hours before dinner. Wine looks darker and the sour cherry finish has smoothed a bit. Spice is noticed more than last night. This wine is in a good place now.
