Wednesday, August 4, 2021 - Decanted for around 3 hours.

Nose: Intense, open and youthful nose. Rich notes of ripe violet and dark fruits, black cherries and lots of plums can be detected. The dark fruity aromas predominate, but there are also red fruit aromas that show up again and again. Flashes of herbal spice (mainly eucalyptus) and white pepper make the nose very complex. There is also a nice secondary aroma of vanilla, white chocolate and medium toasting.
Very filigree - almost feminine how the Gr. Larose comes along. The fruit is super ripe, almost bordering on a little too ripe.

Palate: medium alcohol (13%), which is rare in today's BDX, medium ~+ tannins that show up ripe and well integrated while hinting at storage potential. Is young on the palate and less accomplished in terms of aromatic diversity than on the nose but the Larose shows great tension, medium + body and an unmissable awesome drinking flow! Very long finish.

From my perspective, Gr. Larose is a wine with a lot of value (which is not yet properly recognised internationally). Storage potential +30 years.
