Monday, November 14, 2022 - This is a delightful wine, but it takes a long road to get there. Decanted for 6-7 hours and then aerated it into the glass. Earthy and woodsy, heavier stone fruit in the background, nothing berry-like that I could discern. Nice, dusty tannins with a bit of acidity to brighten everything. I let half a bottle rest under its cork in the pantry overnight and it had opened even more by the next evening. Thus, the QPR is off the charts. But I think its true drinking window--one without all the artificial airing--probably starts around 2024-25. I will lay some down and see if it's worth the wait. If I can wait....
