Friday, January 3, 2020 - Had at a restaurant with squash gnocchi and scallops. The nose was initially a little closed, but opened nicely showing lemon peel, orchard fruit, a bit of buttered popcorn, minerality, floral notes, and a hint of wood spice. The palate is very good and has lots of freshness, more so than I would have guessed for the vintage. Good depth and good balance. A very enjoyable wine that seems to have some development potential though I'd probably drink it earlier than later as it is delightful now.
