Sunday, February 10, 2008 - I tried to like this wine alot, but the oak keeps getting in way. You could sense some of the fruit, dark cherries and a nice dark chocolate taste, but the oak was over the top. The thinking might be to let this go another few years, but I don't think that will tame the oak. I wish BC producers would try letting the fruit shine thru a bit more than relying so heavily on oak to cover up the fruit, terrior and maybe some poor wine making. For less money Hawthorne Mtn makes a better Cab Franc.
