Saturday, December 22, 2018 - I’m definitely pleased with this wine. I remember when we tasted it at the winery it was tight and I hoped it would soften. I has softened indeed. The nose is somewhat muted but I picked up rose and black cherry. It’s color is ruby with a little earthy brown (picture a dried plumb). The tannins have broken down to a smooth richness that coats the tongue with vanilla and fruit leather. If this is in your cellar, I’d say drink it within the next 12 months as I think the structure is at is peak.
