Big, rich, and concentrated, but clearly young as the tannin/acidic structure needed 3-4 hours to settle, and the fruit to come to the fore on the palate (which was geared toward tropical red fruit flavors). The 14.5% alcohol was also notable at times as well. Good energy and tension though, just needs 5 years (min.) of bottle age to develop further. Not as good as the 2015 today, but could easily be the better wine in the years to come. 93+
