VFM?...expensive (for a NZ chardonnay) but probably worth it, 'drink less, drink better' ! Even better than Kumeu River Hunting Hill.

Well chilled, pop and pour.

Wow, very good Otago NZ chardonnay made in a Burgundian style: subtle wood, lovely fruit, huge cellar potential, still taut and tight but already obvious charm; complex, long and powerful. Enjoyable now, but it's clear it will get a lot better. Will try it next 2021-2022, feels like it will then be a 95/100 wine.

C....still pale/light straw.

N.....toffee, sweet oak, seductive mango, pineapple, yellow fruits, medium intensity.

T....only 3 yrs old so tight and taut, a real powerful core. Great fruit. Very French in style - unusual in NZ. Plenty of minerals, long flavours, intense. Real essence. Lemons and passionfruit. Finishes, eventually, just short of dry. Obvious cellar potential. Probably best NZ chardonnay I've had - so far.
