Saturday, October 23, 2010 - Decanted for one hour, utilizing a funnel. Eggplant-violet in colour, with a ruby rim. Very aromatic; baked raisin, currant, charcoal and a floral quality that's fresh. Soft tannins and the palate is very mouth coating. A wonderful '03, with evident acidity. Not overtly concentrated at all, while retaining the right amount of elegance. Elisabetta really did a fine job with this vintage being so hot. The raisin quality is not over-done at all. Starting to drink well and still has a long time left. What a pleasure. Drink now - 2018.
