The development and openness that occurs in the last 15 minutes are starling. Drank over 2 hours and continued to improve until it was gone. Massively focused and concentrated, vanilla, oak, raspberry, syrupy liqueur kirsch, chocolate, it's all there. The nose comes alive and the tannins are soft and melt away into the fruit. I do recall being more impressed with the 2001, but the 2002 is still a fabulous wine.
