Monday, May 4, 2015 - Allowed to breathe in glass one hour before tasting. Clear dark garnet color. Brooding bouquet of creme de cassis, blackcurrant paste, blackberries and cherries, cocoa, sage, forest floor, sweet vanilla bourbon. Similar on the palate, full body, rich, elegant, balanced. Hints of caramel and cashew appearing on the third day under vacuum stopper. Outstanding wine at any price, and outstanding value for a $20 supermarket wine. Has held up remarkably well in a passive cellar all these years.
