90 Points

Monday, October 21, 2013 - Sombre colour, good saturation, very narrow rim, looks younger than its age; nose starts out discreet with notes of earth, spice and truffle, opens up nicely to ripe crushed fruit and a hint of milk chocolate; on the palate it is a classic, mature, medium-weight Pomerol from sandy soils, well-balanced, with sufficient tannic grip; good length. Just about what you would expect from Plince in a good vintage like 2000. At peak, drinking well, no hurry but it will not improve.
