Tuesday, January 16, 2018 - Bought this bottle in 2005 from the winery for $115. I've had high expectations for this cab for the last 12 years and it did not disappoint. Opened for my birthday at Evvia and decanted for 1 hour. Perfectly aged, great fruit, long finish. Rich and full-bodied, with an explosive bouquet of macerated blackberry and cassis fruit, an opulent mid-palate, and a glorious finish with great purity, fruit, and glycerin.
Dusty aromas of redcurrant and loam, lifted by a floral element. Supple, broad and quite dry; a sophisticated texture and intriguing floral tones. Seriously structured wine.
