Saturday, October 14, 2023 - Last Saturday I opened a bottle of the 2014 and was really disappointed Last night, for the first time in two years I opened this bottle. This is a really good wine. I opened and decanted and let it sit for a while as we were drinking a 2013 Insignia. The wine has dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, dark plums, tobacco, cedar and a hint of vanilla leading to a long finish. Most people at the table, myself included, preferred this wine to the Insignia.

The 2015 I drank this past Saturday and it is a beautiful bottle. As I wrote drank it against a 2013 Insignia and this was everyone's preferred wine.
