Saturday, September 10, 2005 - Just a beautiful, mature cal cab at the height of it's life cycle. Glorious nose and full, rich, lush flavors that matched marvelously to the steak that was served with the wine. Not a powerhouse, but beautifully balanced and frankly delicious. Just what you want when you open an 8-10 year old cab with dinner. Served along side the 96 Leoville Las Cases which wasn't showing nearly as well. On the second day, the Beringer tasted virtually the same as the first, suggesting that this wine still has some longevity ahead of it.
