I decanted it and it began to open up over half an hour or so. In about two hours this wine was beautiful. The fruit in this wine resembled a 3 yr old bottle, full of tannins and packed with complex flavors (blackberry, black cherry and a mild tobacco flavor come to mind). This is one of the best vintages of the Beringer PR Cab I have had in a long while. This wine was so youthful it could easily sit for many more years, yet it offers great balance and complexity now.
