2016 Philip Togni Cabernet Sauvignon

Thursday, October 1, 2020 - Nose: blackberry, cassis, coffee beans, espresso and chocolate shavings. Palate: deftly balanced middle weight structure with a beam of ripe tannin. Blackberry, plum, tobacco and mocha notes on the palate.

This will be a very long lived wine that reminds me a bit of the 2005 Mouton.

It is classic. Not inaccessible, but very young. I am looking in on lower abv wines for cellaring. This was one of the great wines.
