Tuesday, June 4, 2013 - Served in the suite at Staples Center - has to go down as the best wine at a sporting event (too bad the Blackhawks lost to the Kings). Generous nose of black fruit, sweet oak, vanilla, herbs and spice. Palate has a medium body with good balance. Fruit is sweet but not overt or rich. Healthy dose of acidity. This has tamed into a more elegant wine than I remember, but still oak-driven with a sweet fruit profile. Aging gracefully.
