90 Points

Saturday, October 4, 2008 - On opening, this features a fruit-filled, but cool nose - maybe some eucalyptus. This follows onto the palate, which is plummy, but not over-ripe with some cooling menthol notes. A hint of tar too. The mouthfeel is a bit grainy and powdery, but the wine has a nicely judged medium body. The acidity is quite strong - even a little spiky - and one wishes for more integration of this wine's components. Those looking for a fruit bomb need not apply here.
