Saturday, August 15, 2009 - I brought this to an event with a group of colleagues who worked together importing and distributing this wine. It was to celebrate the life of the late owner of our company, Jim Hangstefer. 1982 was a very good year in Tuscany, but I was worried that I had waited too long. I need not have worried; the wine showed great in spite of its fill into the shoulder. The wine was very aromatic with a wonderful layered texture. I only got a small pour and did not get to see if it developed further, but it was certainly wonderful.
