Thursday, January 25, 2024 - Plenty of vanilla on the nose with some blackberry and plum. Nearly complete tannic integration leaving a thick syrupy mouthfeel. Full bodied palate of typical dark fruit flavors, blackberry, currant. Medium length finish with a touch of heat. Throws a fair amount of sediment at the end. This doesn't appear to have been held too long, just not remarkable. I'm still wondering if there's value in any of the bottom end Penfolds.
