Wednesday, August 6, 2008 - I just went to the release party with 7 friends. The variation in flavor from one glass to the next depending on temperature and length of time the bottle was open was remarkable. The cooler bottles exhibited more fruit, plum and cherry. Very nice. I had one glass that had clearly been opening up and showed outstanding depth and balance. It's one of the better vintages of the Alexander Valley that I've had, and I've had most going back to 89.
