Saturday, September 18, 2010 - Weekend Wine with Summer Part II; 9/17/2010-9/18/2010 (Las Vegas, NV): Rich, dense nose of dried cassis, roasted mushrooms, elegant cherry, delicate tobacco leaves, and hints of herbs. Beautiful nose that make me say, "wow" when I first dove in. This wine benefited from more air time than the 1996 Leoville Poyferre that was drank alongside it, and the wine was a bit more elegant and refined. The tannis are well integrated, the acid is in a nice place and the fruit still shines through. Beautiful bottle that has a long life ahead of it.
