Sunday, July 26, 2020 - Drank this over about 10 days, and I feel it got better the longer it was open. Initially a bit sweet, hot and straightforward. But over the next few days it developed quite nicely. By about day 7 on the nose there's caramel, but also something like cough-mixture cherries. The palate has burnt butterscotch, cherries, very clean mouthfeel, not at all cloying. The finish is more of the butterscotch and just a nice little bite.
Overall though it is a little sweeter than I expected from a tawny port, but very nice nevertheless.
