Friday, June 27, 2014 - Decanted 2 hours. It was paler with faint brown rim and was raisin and prune on palate. There was the scorched grapeiness of grenache and overall this started as a decent but not very worthy drink. The color and cooked fruit flavor seemed just shy of the oxidation seen in mishandled or heated wine.
Most interestingly, these oxidative characteristics faded by hour 4 leaving a much more interesting and satisfying wine. Started an 87 finished a 90
