Saturday, June 16, 2018 - Met a friend to share a bottle or two and a nice Italian byob. Color reminded me of the dark red brick you see stand out against the lighter bricks. Poured next to a 2009 cab that was deep and purple neat to see the contrast. On the nose it started out with some nice lured fruit strawberry, cherry and some nice mix of wet soil that was just turned. As the night went on I picked up some nice subtle sweetness reminded me of sugar glazed cherry pie from a particular far stand on the east end f Long Island. Great memory, great company, great food and lovely wine.
