Sunday, December 6, 2020 - Consumed over two days. Notes from day 2, but impressions from day 1 were similar. Decanted.

Dark red fruit, camphor and eucalyptus on the nose. Fruit is very prominent and dominate from start to finish. Tobacco, new leather, green peppercorn in the mid palate. Tannins are present but well integrated and do not overwhelm - very balanced! Long finish. This a really nice wine and it is holding up really well, barely showing signs of age. It is drinking really well right now, but should last a few more years. As a side note: reminiscent of the 1995 CDP from the same producer, though I think that the '95 was even better.
