Thursday, November 26, 2009 - This was my only mag of the '98 and I was interested to see what it would be like in comparison to the plethora of 750's I have. Opened and decanted for T-Day '09 with probably 45 mins before drinking. I was pleasantly surprised - soft tannins, low acidity and gentle red fruits all balanced very nicely. The mag was certainly softer, gentler and somehow more elegant than the recent 750's and probably has more life. A great accompanyment to turkey and trimmings and further justification for loving the weird little Plumpjack vineyard.
