Monday, August 17, 2020 - Pnp—probably could use some air but we didn’t really get our act together in time ; ) Classic Barbaresco: nose is earthy but floral with violets and a hint of cherry licorice. As it opens up some of the charred tobacco leaf comes out. Palate is equally classic with cherries, strawberry hard candy, roses, violets, a hint of charred earth, high acidity and fine and smooth but still copious tannins. So pretty; in a good place right now. Fantastic with a fatty steak, potatoes and mushrooms and peppers.
