Monday, October 23, 2017 - Very bright, bold purple-ruby colour. Nose shows strong notes of pepper and smoke, with more restrained notes of blackberry and violet. Palate has a medium-bodied, silky mouthfeel, and intense flavours of blackcurrant, pencil lead, black cherry, and cherry brandy. Not a great deal of structure, but enough acid and tannin to balance the intense fruit.
