2015 Paolo Bea Santa Chiara

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Tuesday, March 2, 2021 - Aerated to decanter for 3 hours, served at 11C and followed for 2 nights.
Complex blend of equal parts Grechetto, Malvasia, Garganega, Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Macerated on the skins for 25 days, vinified in stainless steel without filtering/fining. Not everyone's cup of tea, and in fairness, the second night's performance would likely have expanded the fan base by another 30%+ if for no other reason that it wasn't quite as wild. The color alone is foreign to most, and therefor likely not in the comfort zone of most. That said, I loved both nights for what they were. Good+ with a mushroom and chicken risotto, but really, this lends itself to so many pairing options. 13,5% abv. highly recommended+
