Wednesday, November 16, 2022 - Rather dark in color for a Pinot—ruby red. Light nose with a bit of a musty smell. But not in a bad way, very earthy. Wonderful body, with very slow and beautiful legs. Powerful and complex on the palate, with dark fruit on the front and a tart black cherry with some earthiness and soft tannins. The wine will be good for at least another three years. No hurry big hurry to drink. The only reason this isn’t a 90+ wine is it is still a bit unbalanced. Maybe this will be resolved with a couple more years in the wine dungeon.
